Comparison
Fully Open VS Hybrid VS Fully Remote
Learning Options During COVID-19
The Fully Open option for returning to school involves attending school on a full time schedule just as schools did before the pandemic, except with added safety precautions such as social distancing and mask guidelines. The main pros of this are giving kids a stable routine and safe socialization. The main cons of this are possible virus transmission and unnecessary exposure for high risk students and student families.

The Hybrid option for returning to school involves a part time in person and part time remote schedule. While in school, safety precautions are applied, and while at home, accommodations are made to make the assignments doable outside of the classroom. The main pros of this are safe interaction and technological experience. The main cons of this are lack of routine and difficulty with organization skills needed for this type of schedule.

The Full Remote option for returning to school involves no in person instruction, only at home learning through use of video calls and online assignments. The main pros of full remote learning are technological experience and no risk of in school virus transmission. The main cons of full remote learning are isolation among students due to lack of socialization and no sense of normalcy leading to a huge lack of motivation in students.
